THE SACREDNESS OF THE NIGHT.

The midnight clock hit 12
Everywhere is dark
The sun is gone
From the sky, the moon stares down at us
Silence fills the country
No one speaks loudly
Anyone who still stays awake only whispers
If a loud noise is heard, people shiver
Fear has filled the hearts of men

Children hug their pillows tightly
No one wants to be alone
Everyone wants to stay in groups
Some people leave their electric bulbs on
They are too scared to sleep in the dark
The dark has made them uneasy
They wait eagerly for the morning
The night is just so sacred
This is the sacredness of the night.
